We have published a Declaration of Partnership Building
We published a Declaration of Partnership Building (opens in a new tab) dated April 11, 2026. The text is listed on the official portal.
What the declaration is
The Declaration of Partnership Building (opens in a new tab) is a voluntary commitment in which a company, as an ordering party, publishes its trading policy in the name of a person with authority to represent it. The aim is to raise value across the supply chain and to build shared prosperity between companies of different sizes. The framework was introduced in 2020 at a council of business, labor, and cabinet ministers, and declarations are published on the official portal (opens in a new tab). Companies of any industry or size may publish one.
A declaration has two pillars:
- Shared prosperity across the supply chain, and new forms of collaboration that cut across company size and existing business groups — for example open innovation, IT adoption, and greener operations
- Compliance with the Promotion Standards (opens in a new tab) (振興基準). These standards describe desirable practices between an ordering company and a smaller contractor, including how orders are placed, how prices are set, how payment is made, and how intellectual property is protected
Our declaration
Representative Director Makoto Shohara has declared the following.
-
Shared prosperity and new collaboration across the supply chain
We will work not only with our direct partners, but also with partners further along the chain, to raise value across the supply chain. We aim to build shared prosperity through collaboration that goes beyond existing business relationships and company size. As a specific effort, we commit to supporting IT adoption — including shared EDI, mutual use of data, help in developing IT talent, and advice on cybersecurity. -
Compliance with the Promotion Standards
We will follow the Promotion Standards, including how orders are placed, how prices are determined, how payment is made, terms for molds and similar tooling, protection of intellectual property, and fair dealing. We will work to correct trading customs that get in the way of partnership.
